Achieving highest possible standards of care and support for our residents and staff.
At Koinonia, we believe in establishing quality care standards and tailoring staff training to maintain the highest possible standards of care and support for our staff and residents.
Staff training and personal development are paramount to achieving our goals of providing a warm and secure environment for all our residents.
Koinonia is home to all our residents, and the day to day management of the home is carried out with the professional skill and courtesy that enables all our residents to retain their dignity and respect, and to feel supported and cared for.
In doing so, we try to ensure that all our residents retain a large measure of their independence and capability that enables them to take full advantage of the services and facilities on offer.
Our care service is monitored by the Care Quality Commission and we publish the current CQC Report for the benefit of all interested parties, it can be downloaded and read or printed if required.
Along with our many home comforts we strive to provide a well balanced and nutritious diet, with really delicious and varied menus. Each meal is carefully planned and prepared from fresh produce and cooked to an excellent standard, any special dietary requirements are always catered for. Most of our residents are served lunch in the main dining room and our Care Staff are always on hand to help the less able with their food. Residents who by reasons of illness or infirmity are unable to attend the dining room may receive a tray in their rooms. We have regular meetings with our residents, who are consulted on proposed changes to the menus.
